This song was meant for the 5 String sub basses style. I have a 6 string. Which 5 strings do I set the tuning, and which string do I ignore?

Mike, it would seem to make sense to omit the last (lowest) sub. In fact, Hedges himself had a 6-bass Dyer with the last hole plugged...see our
Hedges feature. Can you imagine what he might have accomplished had he had it restored?! I'd re-string with custom gauges for his re-entrant tuning as well __________________ Gregg Miner, editor, Harpguitars.net

Hi Mike... IMHO, you should use this tuning that I use on my Oracle for this tune for the 6 subs: DGBbCAD
That lower D on the 6th sub, if your harp guit will handle it, is soooooo sweet as an alternate during the main themes.
So, tune it the way Michael did on strings 1-5 and use the 6th at the lowest D possible on your instrument.
Have fun! __________________ Carlson Oracle 24-string Harp Sympitar
