Thanks to Sean Woolley for a 2011 Supporting Donation / Member Renewal.

I took the opportunity to update the Foundation Donor page, which resulted in the move of a couple dozen names to the Past Supporters section.

Please remember that Forum users are expected to stay current members by making recurring donations to the Foundation.

I have also changed the password to the Members Section (current members, ask for this anytime).

Thanks for your support!

Thanks to Burkhard Baader of Hamburg, Germany for a Supporting Donation.
He's a satisfied LIM player (I helped him upgrade it way back) and been helpful with the occasional translation on my blog and elsewhere.

Loyal Michael Schreiner not only registered early for HGG9, he sent an extra Patron donation to the Foundation for our ongoing efforts.  This nets an extra "*" next to his name on the Donor list.  That's 2/5ths of the way to the next level - thanks, Michael!

Thank you to Zaira Meneses for a new Supporting Donation!
Zaira is a concert classical guitarist (and wife of classical guitarist Eliot Fisk) based in Boston and has just started an organization called Guitar & Friends (Concerts for the Community).
Perhaps those of you in the Boston area can check out and support her efforts as she has supported us.
Thanks, Zaira!

Foundation Patron Charlie Hill just sent another generous check for our efforts - thank you!
He has a brand new web site and a brand new CD as well (1 HG tune on the Merrill I sold him - keep it up!).  Charlie's been at the last couple Gatherings, and just registered for HGG9 as well.
See you there!

Just received a Supporting donation from Craig Sharmat at Scoredog Music, who is a neighbor I met yesterday when he came to learn about harp guitar options.  He's a major film composer and smooth jazz chart topper as well, anxious to do something different instrumentally...and on a Sullivan-Elliott style harp guitar!  Thanks and welcome to the group, Craig!

And another Patron donation from Atlanta's Joe Cullison - thanks!
Some of you have seen Joe at the last 2 Gatherings (with goddaughter Jessica in tow).  He now runs a great series of concerts here: http://acousticproductions.com/

As you've probably noticed, I've held off thanking all the many folks who have made contributions via our harp guitar raffle, donations at the Gathering, and many more since announcing our Matching Grant pledge.  However, I'm adding them real time to the Donor page.  For anyone who's missed it, here's the blog...
I'll include a full list at the end of the year here.

Now that the major fundraiser is over (that doesn't mean it ends!), I'll continue with new donations here.  All through a week ago are thanked on the final blog and comments.
Today we start up with Dan Carey (no, not Dan Crary), from Rhode Island.
I see we have someone to make us an official harp guitar kite!
Welcome, Dan.

Thanks, Jay!

Thank you Gregg. "Dreaming" would be an understatement. Obsession may be more apt right now. And since Lowden or Bashkin don't make Harp Guitars yet I guess I'll be looking when I can get my finances in order. Till then I'll sit quietly in back and learn from everyone while I try to keep from going nuts over not being able to play/compose on one yet. Guitar is one of those late in life always wanted to do things that I've been doing for the past three years, in church, and now looking at other venues. An HG looks like the natural progression for where my music/compositions are going.

Hopefully someday I can make it to a gathering and meet everyone!
-jay

2 new Supporting Donation members are both Gibson guys: Phil Rowen, who collects assorted old Gibsons (with a 'teens U and that super rare rope-bound R sold on eBay a bit ago), and Lee Murray, with a newly restored and strung 'teens U that he plans to use in the fabled 7-piece banjo band of Michael Simmons and Al Dodge.

Miranda Lukaniuk, partner of luthier Marko Lipovsek (see our Luthier page), just created a Paypal account solely so they could send in a donation, and join our group.  That's dedication!  They live in the middle of the woods in Slovenia, but are relocating to Canada, and hope to come to a Gathering one day.
Thanks, and welcome!

Got a Lifetime Patron donation from new friend Daniel Choi, who lives near Kathy Wingert, and just left here with his new Holloway.  Thanks, Dan, and enjoy that until you can upgrade to Kathy's...you know where it is.
