Apparently I forgot to announce Paul Oorts video with wife Karen that I posted last month:

I also tried posting The Water is Wide on Flix55.com here.
Not sure if anything will come of this site (collecting clips for future TV show), but feel free to rate it, etc...

Just wanted to recommend checking out the Harp Guitar group on YouTube. I just found a couple rare Hedges HG performances that were recently added. Also added were some HG tunes from a concert Stephen Bennett did while in LA over a year ago. Very cool:

I've seen several new HG videos added lately to the Group (including our "exclusive" Tim Donahue clip - so much for legality).  I just added another by a new duo I stumbled across.  Looks like some potential there....

The Tim Donahue clip was one I found on you tube that is an interview with cuts of norweign wood in it.  I linked it because I found the interview very informative.  I think he is the one who originally posted it.

Steve Sedgwick's new HG customer Jason Carter seems pretty excited about the instrument and our world.  He is already gigging with it, and just finished his first video.  I've added it to the YouTube Group.

I added a bunch of new videos (to our YouTube Group) from Stacy Hobbs and also the first from Mickie Zekly (1991).  Mickie told me,
"The Dyer harp guitar that I play in the video was the harp guitar that got Michael Hedges going on harp guitars. Michael and Mindy were over for a party and I played Michael a piece on that guitar. He was fascinated. He sat and played if for hours. That was the beginning of his affair with the harp guitar."

Some new videos on the YouTube group:
New player Tad Piecka
2 Demos of John Doan's friend Harald Peterstorfer with his new super-treble attachment
A bunch of new Stephen Bennett (I was only able to add one...)

Yep, Its a Noble alright, and I couldn't be more pleased with this HG.............though the video doesn't do the sound of this monster justice by any means; plus I didnt know the guy was going to post the video on you tube.......and actually I didnt even know the guy who recorded it !  It'll be coming to Oregon with me this year so you can check it out ! But you'll have to wipe Gregg's drool off it since it is his "near signature" model and he's sure to try and rekindle his romance with her........Stacy

Has anyone seen this Alex De Grassi video on the "New Dream" or is it "Old News"?

No, I think its the brand new video they just finished. Pretty slick! Alex mentioned it just a bit ago - as far as I know, they used the new Dreams CD master as playback.  Where is it linked from?

Very nice, thanks Chris! It's confusing though, as I'm almost inspired by Alex to just give up playing, and most certainly by Fred's instruments to continue building guitars!

Ok...Alex's playing is inspiring in a positive way too.

Here's the YouTube link:

UPDATE: Since this original post, I sent an email to Matt, the video director, and he fixed the below issues, including a link to Fred's website!

Unfortunately, they didn't get the details right... 39 strings, not 24. It's a cool video but I have two other complaints... 1. They didn't mention Fred. and 2. I wish they had shot more wide angles to capture the whole instrument.

Anyway, it's just great to have Alex up on YouTube with this instrument... he's awesome and I just wish there was more vids of him playing his own sympitar!

I also wonder why the Harp Guitar Dreams CD isn't mentioned.

"Blue Coast Records"?

Oh well...

Well, it now says 39 strings, and mentions Fred as the creator of the instrument. Looks as if all the ducks are in a row!

Jason Carter has an AMAZING new video.

For those of you that prefer Vimeo, which has better picture and sound quality...

He also has a bunch of new videos from his concert in Afghanistan for the British Council...  http://www.youtube.com/user/jasoncrater

Very cool Steve!

Do you know if he has ever expressed interest in attending a harp guitar gathering?

Hey folks... here's my homegrown YouTube video and arrangement for solo harp guitar of "Chava's Song" by Michael Hedges followed by my tune "Silent Return", which is essentially a reflection of the emotion behind Michael's tune.

Hope you all dig it. -J
