Well you can't say the new listing is not inexpensive enough...
Ironically, both this and Roosa's Hewett Dyer copy now on eBay started out playing Because Its There....

Rich Mermer's brand new harp guitar (which debuted at HGG6) is now listed for sale at Harp Guitar Music.  Previously, I had asked Rich if he would consider writing a Making Of article for this site.  He did, and what a perfect win-win "double site double feature" we created!  I hope the rest of you builders will consider this in the future.

Well done to Rich for all that hard work. I was wondering for those people who have not seen or played the instrument in person, if you could list the dimensions, scale length, nut width etc.

Something I didn't think of doing until now is a list of Harp Guitar Music Testimonials - I've had a lot since the debut over 2 years ago (since when I've averaged a sale a month).
If any previous buyer or seller wants to add anything, please do!  (send private email)
Thanks for all the support,

The bad news: The Economy.
The good news: As I said in my HGM newsletter, I find harp guitars relatively recession-proof (knock wood).  SEVEN instruments have sold in the past 2 months, and have a LOT of new things coming or planned.

Meanwhile, I have a Dyer listed, but if anyone is looking for a nicer one, there is a fairly nice Style 6 available with an unusual feature - the bridge is centered!  One of the last ones made, perhaps they were experimenting?  It's all original and supposedly sounds fantastic.  Unfortunately, the owner, while anxious to sell it, will not consign it.  I'll happily broker it for a commission - the only gamble is that it may not sound quite as incredible as claimed (though it may!).  Price is fair either way - I'd probably buy it as an investment if I had the cash.  Serious inquiries only, please.

Here's something you don't see for sale every day (virtually never) - a Knutsen harp steel !

And speaking of Knutsens, just got in a set of limited edition books (sure to double on Ebay by next year) of collector Tony Ku's Uke and Hawaiian instruments.  A "gotta have" for fans of those instruments (17 total Knutsens!).

Tony has made several albums... Any idea if he used the Knuts on any?

3 new secondhand instrument listings at HGM.  Please note that I'll be away on vacation shortly for about a week, so don't panic if you don't hear back from me immediately.

And finally, just in time for HGG7 - the new batch of flight cases are in.  I made them just a tad bigger this time.
