I am looking for someone who is a wiz at Wikipedia to help do a full edit (or re-write) on the "harp guitar" entry.  Unbekownst to me, there are apparently even professionals who take Wikipedia as gospel, not realizing that any misinformed person can seeemingly add to it at will. 

I tried to make several edits in the differnent sections, but all were removed after one day - obviously, I am breaking some rule.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to dedicate to such an undertaking, and a few people have asked that it be updated to more accurately define the modern definition, players, etc.

Please don't try to give me instruction through this thread - I need a serious volunteer to either handle the project or not.  I'll provide text and other suggestions as required.

I finally had my wife's assistant, a super geek, help me with the Wiki protocol.  The HG entry (like many) has been policed not by anyone we know who knows anything about it (or me, or this site), but who is an uber-stickler for the proper use of the format.
So far, my changes have stuck for 4 full days!
Click on the history tab to see exactly what changes were, and read Discussions for why.  I am completely against the "anonymity" of editors, and the fact that any bozo can delete or change at will, so feel free to help monitor and police this entry.  The list of "notable players" in my definition was agreed on by Stephen Bennett and myself (short and sweet).  I left the original list for now, and imagine someone may try to delete the duplication (in my def, and the list).  I removed 2 from the list however who simply aren't notable PLAYERS ("famous", yes - notable HG-ists, absolutely not).  And I'm sure I will continue to do so.  Any "additions, deletions and changes will have to be argued over on the discussion page -NOT like a chat room, but professionally, with supporting evidence and "peer review" (those of us who are familiar with the players and music).  All links to these people and other resources on HG.net are clearly referenced and linked as per Wiki guidelines.
Wikipedia is the new bible being taken seriously by even scholars - why, is beyond me.  I loathe the idea, but since we can't beat 'em, we must join 'em.
Yet another hobby I don't need.
